The World is a Stage
If the world is my stage,
And life is my show,
Then where are my lines?
And where are my clothes?
Where’s the person who shouts,
“Five minutes to Call!”
Where’s the audience that’s patient,
And waits for it all?
If the world is my stage,
And life is my show,
Then why don’t I feel,
That special on-stage glow?
And why is it when,
I step out into the light,
I don’t feel my pulse rush,
I don’t feel alright.
And if the world is my stage,
And life is a show,
Then why won’t you watch me,
And why don’t you know?
