If I Could Tell You
If I could tell you one thing,
I would tell you that I love you.
That I’ve always loved you.
I would tell you that I’ve loved you
Loved you since the first day I saw you
I would tell you how I remember thinking,
“Man, this chick is beautiful.”
And I would tell you how my love has grown
With each new thing I’ve learned about you.
If I could tell you one thing,
I would tell you that I love it
How you can laugh at the stupidest thing
And not think less of yourself for it.
I would tell you I love that your kind
Even to those who treat you badly.
But above all else,
I would tell you that I love how you can smile
Despite all the crap you take from the world
And that I’ve come to cherish that smile,
Cherish it with all my heart.
If I could tell you one thing,
I would tell you that I love you.
That I’ve always loved you
And despite how you may feel for me,
Whether you love me or hate me,
Think I'm funny or annoying,
Or even if you believe me a fool without a chance
I will always love you
And nothing can change that.
