A single girl against the world
The face of society looks at her with predatory eyes,
Waiting for the right time to pounce…
The lies
The lies cover the truth of her beauty
They bind her with the look of perfection
Perfection
Nothing is perfect
Perfection is unobtainable
The culture paints an image.
An image that is true for few but not true for most.
An image that people look up to?
What are they looking up to?
Too skinny girls wearing the masks of
Painted-on faces.
Is that what we want our society to revolve around?
No.
It creates insecurity.
Insecurity instead of confidence.
Insecurity and worry always worrying about what we wear, j or what we look like.
This tears girls down until there is nothing left.
Tears self-esteem.
Tears confidence.
Tears to nothing.
