Color
The color of your shirt
is the color of my eyes
The color of my hair is the same as yours
I look like you in every way but why do you deny it so
When I look into the mirror all I see is you and the horrible truth
Why wont you admit it that you never cared because to you I am not your daughter I am a nobody
When people look at me all they see is me as a copy of you but I am not you. But when you look at me you will see the pain in my eyes that you know you have caused then you will see your daughter who you care nothing for. You can't ignore the truth because you see it in me along with all the pain and heartbreak I have. The color may fade away but the pain will never go away because I did not know a fathers love.
