From Heaven to City
I miss those days
with sunny warmth
when I sat there
in any branch.
The air was pure,
the birds by lots
and some wore plaid
and some had dots.
The green, the blue,
all clean, all new,
just playing out,
no sign or clue
Of what would be
to live a life
where all that’s green
is now a car.
