Again

I sat on the cold bench in despair
Then breeze shook the leaves
They glided gracefully to the ground
Rocking back and forth
Just like how that chair used to move
Again! Again! Again!
I used to shout with joy
We could rock all day
A sneeze of birds flew out of the weeping willow tree
Again! Again! Again!
Life is all about opportunities
I wish I could have been there
That dead silent night
I could of held her hand, kissed her lips, hugged her
But I didn’t
So I sit in the park
Waiting for the birds to storm out of that tree
Waiting for the squirrels to swiftly climb those rugged limbs
Waiting for the sun to set
I wait
Again! Again! Again!
If only life was like a film, a tape that you could just rewind, or just pause to freeze time
I could see my love again, express my feelings with another human being again
Or just watch the sunset in the park
Again.
