My Little Orange Friend
I saw a carrot stick,
It was so cute and small.
Some people might say ick,
But it was my carrot stick.
We decided to be friends,
We laughed and played together.
Some people laughed at us,
But I knew we’d be friends forever.
One day I woke up,
My little friend was gone.
I searched and searched for her,
But nowhere could I find her.
I asked all the other vegetables,
But no one knew where she went.
I told my mom about her,
But she just laughed at me.
I asked my dad,
Hoping for the best.
He just said oh that carrot,
I ate it a few minutes ago.
That was the worst day,
It was like someone just died.
No one else understood it,
I just cried and cried.
