Picking.
Picking. Picking. Stubbed nails clawing and scratching. The dulled edges desperate for blood. Waiting for the scab to heal, just to tear it off again. Imperfections scorching and festering, blinding. The eyes blaze. Exposed and stripped, tormented by fear. Pulling the flesh back, the fresh red pools together, more and more, collecting and clinging. Giving up, the suffering seeps, then falls. All doubt released. The sticky drop splats and stains. I welcome the pureness of the pain.
