Brighter Days
Such beautiful days such as this one
I remember are often hard to come by
The seasons transcended, winter to spring.
I followed in their path with constant growth
But was caught up in the innocence of a child
I sat in our playroom, surrounded by my
Childhood toys, before our house recreated
It’s interior, rooms remodeled, this room
Of play in particular no longer exists in our home
It was one of those days, so bright your
Eyes could barely keep themselves open
The sun leaked in through every crack it found
And even with closed curtains and windows,
The sun shone through, showering everything
With light and warming my skin
