Ocean at Dawn
The moon rises and the ocean waves break,
Everything settles before dawn awakes.
A slight breeze blows amongst the skies,
The birds now awake and ready to fly.
Leaves have fallen, they need to be raked,
Surfers are ready, lives are at stake.
The waves are calm, the night has arrived.
The moon rises.
It's morning again, joggers with their tie-dye,
Waves again breaking, the children stand by.
Paddleboards, surfboards, but never a caique.
Everything dimmers down, and all demise.
The moon rises.
