Love Is Brutal I
The Grand Canyon is the largest
canyon in the
United States. And
Yet it does not begin
To describe the crevice
Left in my heart.
The wide, gaping, hollow hole stood there
Empty, but lucky
To be naive enough not to know
What it feels like to be filled
But one day, clouds started to
swirl
overhead
And it began to rain. The
Water began to filled the fissure
And the my spirits lifted.
Everything
Around me was magnificent,
Everything
Had a certain glow to it
It was like I was high on love
Life was good.
But then the storm passed
And life began to slow down
I dropped from my now-lofty throne
And hit the ground hard.
The canyon, only half-full in the first place,
Began
To dry up.
A soreness lingered, even when all of the water had vanished
All that remained was a chilling-vibe, that nothing would ever be the same
That now that crevice, knew what it was like,
To be
Filled.
