The sun is shining on an unforgiving day,

carrying so many losses to be carried away.

Dreams are depleted as the first man falls,

running becomes useful as the siren calls.

Falling to the ground unable to run,

the clouds of smoke disguise the sun.

The stench of burning flesh fills the air,

as others run away they become unaware.

So many people trying to mask their pain,

So many emotions such as fear and distain.

The sky is at once black as night,

it seems impossible for anything to be right.

Dreams have failed on this unforgiving day,

the dreams were few, but they've all blown away.
