The Happy Cheerleader
Each day she wakes up and rolls out of bed
with nothing in her heart except for dread.
She shuffles to the bathroom to brush her teeth,
And think about how this day will be stolen by Routine, the thief.
She looks in her mirror with dead eyes,
And puts on makeup to look alive.
Finally, she pulls on her cheer uniform
and tries to transform,
Into the girl she is supposed to be,
The girl the is happy.

I hope that this poem will help people realize that people are not always as happy as they appear to be. Sometimes the people who appear the happiest, need the most cheering up.
