Longing for Their Log
There once was a girl who had a dog.
They liked to play in the woods and rest on a log.
One day the log wasn’t there,
So they decided to look everywhere.
They started to look behind every tree,
But it was no where they could see.
Then they looked under each stone,
But each stone seemed to be alone.
Trying their best, they looked in each flower,
But they could not find it despite their power.
Next, they looked though the dirt,
But they did not find it, and now their hands hurt.
Tired and hungry, they needed a rest,
So they looked for somewhere to sit, trying their best.
They could not find anything and did not know why,
And from the pain, the started to cry.
That’s when they heard a branch crack,
But could not see anything due to the sunlight’s lack.
Suddenly they saw something in the fog,
And were happy to see their trusty log.
