Where is the Good in Goodbye?
Never have I heard words that were so true
I stand here in my sorrow as you say
“I’ll be coming back. Don’t fret, Little Boo.”
Always knew how to keep sadness at bay
You turn away and tears begin to flow
I cry for you to come back but no use
For you’ve left only your smile, yet you know
Your hold on my heart will never be loose
Once you’re out of sight, my head starts to clear
The tears dry up and I realize this:
Only a year separates you from here
When I’ll once again experience bliss
I stare in the direction you’ve just gone
And, in one year’s time, we’ll meet here at dawn
