"Who's to say what is "proper"? What if it was agreed that "proper" was wearing a codfish on your head? Would you wear it?" Alice from Alice in Wonderland (Tim Burton version)

Dear Johann Pachelbel,
Ache my heart does in this cell.
Breaking with displeasure,
From 56 repetitious measures.
Gouge out my eyes;
Deafen my ears to hear no more cries.
Goodness, get the gist!
Another angry cellist.

The author's comments:
This is supposed to be a slightly humourous piece. I am a cellist, and I absolutely despise Pachelbel's Canon in D Minor. The cello part is horrible. I wrote this ode to him and his piece, explaining how much I hate him. Pay special attention to the first letter of each line. Any cellist who has played the piece before has a good chance of figuring it out. ;)
