My Religion
One foot in front of the other
From one house to another.
Eyes peering down each street.
Tired are these feet.
Stifle a yawn
and realize it will soon be dawn.
Searching for something that is here
when I’m caught in headlights like a deer.
Over is my search,
I’ve finally found my church.
It exists in the sky,
but it’s not some big guy.
It is but one,
and condemns none.
If you were to look around now
you would see how
where we lie
is where we die.
