Fragile
Here I am
A lonely mountain
Shaped from glass by careful hands
Bearing eyes as sharp as peaks
That see the truth
Here I stand
Grazing dark skies
As passerby all seem to cower
The untouchable, unreachable
The feared
Here I stay
As ice is seeping
Slowly past my numbing skin
To begin to case my heart
In frozen tears
Here I quake
Trapped in your gaze
As your lips so softly whisper
Words that open scars to bleed
I tried to heal
Here I weep
While a thin crack
Begins to run across the glass
The burning pain is melting down
My own resolve
Here I fall
Shattering into a thousand tiny fragments
And for a moment
Everything will disappear
Here I’ll remain
Until someone comes
To pick up all my pieces
Build me up
Into a fragile mountain once again
