Grandma
She is strong as a sycamore,
And gentle as the wind,
Peaceful waves upon the shore,
And loving with no end.
She has seen great sorrows,
Yet revels in miniscule joy;
She is the fighter everyone knows,
The bride of a country boy.
Abundant with graceful majesty,
She is a woman like no other,
The woman that I want to be:
My beautiful grandmother.

I have been blessed with some amazing women as my grandmothers, and I wanted to tribute them. They have all survived so many trials in their lives, including the deaths of their husbands after years of marriage, yet remain strong. They astonish me every day with what they do and I could not ask for anyone else.
