Ode to the Sun
Falling.
Endlessly through space.
It latches on to anything it can find,
For they keep him comfort
As they observe his beastly mass day in and day out.
Inertia, his wife, inviteds him to run away
Every second of everyday,
But he can't.
The seemingly infinite galaxy cannot let go,
For she loves him too much, And gets just as lonely--
Latching on to anything she can find.
He is, quite literally, the golden sunset that arises after a perfect day,
The beautiful girl who's laughter brings utmost joy to one's heart,
The father who uplifts his child's mind after a horrid day.
Above all, he is God;
He gives us light, life, and more love than we could possibly return,
For his warmth has filled our souls with enlightenment since the day we were born.
And when he dies,
So shall we.
Let there be light.
