Farie Fire
I sit by the fire's soft glow at night.
In the silence that settles near I hear
The whispers of the fairies far from sight
Yet I know they are near my perch and leer.
On moon's soft beams they glide through the still air
And in the flames the embers shine brightly.
My eyes are bright and my silk like long hair
In soft curls streams down my slender back gently.
I can feel them in my long hair moving
Causing the long silk strands to gently braid.
I can hear the soft tunes ringing
Through the stillness the night skillfully made.
And when they are done I then go and dream
And never forget things are not what they seem.
