Silver Lining
In an instant this life could be over.
In a moment you could leave me forever.
In the blink of an eye, we could all just disappear.
Time means nothing if all it does is scare you,
If all it does is give us a limit and tare us away from freedom.
Time is an illusion we use to pass through life,
Time is a dream that no one sees,
Time is always of the essence,
Time passes by so fast among others,
Yet drags on when alone.
Illusions always come out from behind the shadows when they need to be seen,
Like when love proves only to be lust,
Or when the crow sings its warning and you ignore it,
Like when the clouds part to show the sun...
Only for a short time to show you there is always a silver lining.
To give you a glimpse of something you could never touch.
To see the beauty of a butterfly,
and the gracefulness of a gazelle.
But never be able to touch or feel the softness of the butterflies wings,
To never feel how the gazelle does as it glides through the air,
To see the birds soar,
and never be able to fly with them.
To watch a rose bloom with such beauty,
To know you will never obtain that beauty,
To hear a baby cry out in pain ,
and not be able to save it.
To watch the sunrise yet somehow never feel it.
To see the ones you love be happy without you,
and to blame yourself for all that goes wrong.
They are all illusions in the magnificent world we have here,
But what if all we are is someone's dream that will never come true,
What if one day, when the world ends,
What if it meant that someone finally woke?
What if we finally realize time is irrelevant and not of the essence?
What if we finally come to see the true beauty hiding within each other?
What if we finally realize that life is and always will be worth living..
What if we finally realize there always is a Silver Lining.
