The day of love and heartbreak,
Because you're together, because you're alone
Out on a date with your soul mate
Left sitting at home, waiting by the phone
Chocolate hearts and roses by the dozen
It's the profits that the companies are loving
The day of confession, will they feel the same?
Pouring out your feelings, susceptible to shame
Sweating palms, shuffling feet,
In a chaste kiss, their lips will meet
They're just sixteen, will it last?
Or will one be left dwelling on the past
