Lope Of Hope
Crisp, cool air smacks my body,
Sweet grain and green hay
Comfort my nose.
Entering happiness once again,
Forgetting sprints of pain
He helps me remember miles of hard work.
Greeting me with large, chocolate eyes,
A pokey, whiskery nose,
Blows wet, warm air onto my chin.
As we work in rhythm,
Coarse sand flies through chilled air.
But as pesky dust clears,
Beauty nuzzles.
