Autumn Leaves Falling

The leaves fall to
The ground.
Red, orange, yellow,
Brown.
Their like paper tears
Falling from the eyes
Of God.
They pause;
They stir;
They rustle;
Some from China;
Some from Ohio;
Some from the neighbor's
House.
They come from
All over.
Their like strangers
From a distant
Land.
Some stay;
Some go;
Some never make it past
This point.
They come and some
Never return
Home.
The sky is a
Hazy blue.
Light clouds spot
The sky.
Like marshmallows
Floating.
