Erik
In silenced awe
We absorb
The stars are dull
in their pool of faded navy
white envelops the skyline
an artificial desert
groomed and linear
our eerie dream
is stark, empty
except
he perches high above us
kamikaze
slides, with a grainy whistle
then quietly
he erupts
wind ripples between fibreglass
wings
a fierce happiness
as faith is illuminated
in the electric glow
as he hurdles himself
down the papery structure
irrational
joy
