Playing Cards
Playing Cards
Some days I am the Queen of hearts,
Fantasizing romantically every minute
Of the day.
Yet other days I'm the diamond's Queen,
Sparkling, happy, beautiful in every
Personable way.
Then, Oh, then there are my blackest
Of days where I am the dark Queen of Clubs,
Infuriated in any way.
These days they come and then they go
As oft as seasons change, struggling through
My ways.
Some say life's a deck of cards. So in
The hand, this life has dealt; I will yet
Remain.
Unknown until my time, a pleasant surprise
I'm the dormant Queen waiting, yes waiting,
For the time I will be played.
In this amazing game of life.
