Character Development
If Harry Potter was totally perfect,
If Eragon didn't have to learn,
If Charlie Bone didn't change at all,
Where then would be the fun?
If Artemis Fowl weren't so mean,
If Nancy couldn't survive,
If Percy Jackson were to die,
Where then would we turn?
Would we drop the book and curse?
Would we shrug and then move on?
Would we whimper with unhappiness
Sucking on our thumb?
So now you see why books that don't
Make creating characters an art
Are often not the best of books,
In fact, they're not cool at all.
