A Rain to Remember
I woke up on an unfamiliar couch to familiar faces.
I needed this sleep, it gave me a reason to wake up for the blanket over the sky.
My cigarette and I decide to take a walk outside.
I'm savoring this moment.
The rain slaps on my skin, and it never felt like I was more at home.
My thoughts seize.
Nothing but a chill from the wind and a damp sweater over my back.
And for a moment, I thought to call you.
Wake up and enjoy this with me, even if your oh so far away.
No, no, its far too early.
The smoke was my company, and it complemented me well.
This moment was shared between me and myself.
And I am whole because of it.
