State of Innocence
she stands there
the water at the edge
nothing behind her
wind blowing her hair
surrounded by the dark night
as the stars follow her
she breaths in , breaths out
finally letting go
of all the fear and hurt
a state of innocence
hand holds a single rose
the one he left behind
she has to run
but he won't understand why
she's too broken
to be healed
by human hands
so she stands there
at the waters edge
as it slides up
and touches her toes
closes her eyes
going through the pictures
in her mind
itll be okay
she tells herself
over and over
looks up at the sky
as the rain comes now
covering the earth
with it's tears
she stands there
letting it wash over her
