Starry Skies
as I gaze upon the starry sky
wishing my life would slowly go by
but years are starting to feel like days
my birthdays pasts so many Mays
the people I love the people I lost
to get them back at any cost
but still I stay stuck right here
where we were on the pier
remembering the day when we met
the day that I could never forget
so even though I've loved and lost
I know the sun will melt the frost
so I take a star for you
to remind me how much I grew
and I take a star for your heart
I know that ours can never part
and I take a star for your eyes
to stop the tears and endless cries
and I take a star for your smile
I will see you in a while
and I take a star for me
to know our love will always be
