We form an alliance, Socrates-
Adoration of you does not cease.
I come as a youthful elder
Who emerges from a headstrong home;
I am bright enough to think for myself.
You broke the trail that led me here,
The time for guiding has come.
We are from the same forest -
Let us explore ideas.

It's a "lookalike" of a poem by Ezra Pound. This poem was part of a project that my poetry teacher had us do so we could learn about poets and their different styles, which we were expected to try and use.
