true polar wander
I have changed.

  I twirl (everlasting) around,
  I swirl in (everlasting) night;
I whirl, one mass of alien ground.
  I am the innocent might.

Whether it is within or without,
I have changed. My new surface is smooth
  And sterile as sodium chlorite.

  Lights of many colors-
  my dear celestial ‘night dawn’-
You will be new and different,
  The night no longer woebegone.

  Shine for me.
  Burn through me.
  Live on.

I shudder, but this is pure reality-
I will never be the same,
For I am rock that is twisted by these elements
Much like the wind pulls a candle flame.

But I will pull you into me still.
  One day this will
  Simply be something we overcame.

Oh. Oh, it seems my core is wrenched
  In a new direction.
Oh, I become the me of now
And I change with every revolution.

And my illustrious moment of inertia,
You have found your rightful home
In a new state of heaven.
