A Boy, A Dream, A Lone
A knock
Distinct sound
Of anticipation
Curiousity
A window
Covered by curtains
To sneak a peek
Of the mystery visitor
A boy
Standing beautifully
Grin spreading
As the curtain's pulled back.
A jolt
Of excitement
Right through her weak body
Her broken bosy
A jiggle
Of the doors handle
Turned slowly
With some hesitation
A moment
Of complete silence
Staring deeply
With nothing to say
A phrase
Three meaningful words
She's been waiting a year for
Blurted out passionately
A kiss
On her virgin lips
As she falls into his arms
Complete trust
A dream
Constantly playing in her mind
A skipping record
More like...
A nightmare
Because it's not fair
Because it won't be
Because she can't have...
A boy
Standing beautifully
Grin spreading
As the curtain's pulled back.
A lone
In her messy room
With the stuffy air
That's her suffocating life.
