When He Doesn't Love You Back
Sitting on her rooftop,
the stars passing above her.
She was thinking nonstop,
her words began to slur.
Her words began to slur,
whisky bottle in her hand.
The stars passing above her,
her phone inside on her nightstand.
Her phone inside on her nightstand
not lighting up with the name she needed to see.
Whisky bottle still in her hand,
she hurled it at a nearby tree.
She hurled it at a nearby tree
and it shattered much like her heart,
not lighting up with the person she needed to see.
What she really needed was a fresh start.
She dreamed about this needed fresh start
sitting on her rooftop.
Her insides were shattering much like her heart,
she was thinking nonstop.
