Old Sandals
I was first introduced to it in LA
The top sole, the strap, made with leather
It travels with me every day
It is light on my feet like a feather
But enough cushion to protect my feet
No cover on my feet in the warm weather
The bottom sole grinded away by concrete
Slowly it gets old as the leather start cracking
Soon it can no longer go on the street
The cushioning starts lacking
My feet get red and sore
The strap starts detaching
I will miss it but it is time to let it go
I will get a new now tomorrow
