Abandoned
I slept in the rain as twilight came,
I trekked muddy fields in the summer heat, and
I caught cold in the winter, shivering as I withdrew within myself
Abandoned
With each step, my mark is left
A footprint that tells the depth
Of an eternal sorrow
And no trace of happiness
Yet I drag my feet forward
In this black and white world
Where the slightest color is extinguished
Long before it may bloom
I have been torn to pieces
And scattered like a paper in the wind
Released to never come together again
Abandoned
