alight on amber waves
sticky sticking stricken mud
of earnest gold and redwood blood.
Alas cries the woodpecker
pecking jellied gems
hardened phlegm
spilled from dark crevasses
ridged ruffles
evergreen bark.
Alas cries the woodpecker.
digging piercing nails into weathered skin
cracked like desert ground
CAW
cries the woodpecker
shrieking shredding sobs
Screamingscreamingscreaming

note: this piece is simply a sound piece. It is not meant to have meaning, it is only written to be read, and is almost more like a song as the way it is said, rather than what is said, is more important overall.
