Yesterday
Yesterday was different than today
Yesterday I loved him in a different way
Today
It's not the same
Yesterday I'd beg and pray
Maybe he would walk my way
And when he would, I'd be more than okay
Today
It's not the same
Today I see him as a friend
A faithful companion to the end
But if he DOES like me, I wouldn't be offended
I still like the thought of me and him.
