Nightmare
Warm, welcoming, comforting
My home to sleep tonight
Relaxed, pleased, glad
Thinking there is nothing to fear
Peaceful, silence, stillness
No sounds that are heard
Calm, quiet, relaxed
Not a single word
Aggressive, agitated, aggravated
Out of nowhere comes a sound
Irritated, hostile, envious
I feared of who was around
Fearful, Restless, Terrified
The noise is getting near
Grumpy, cranky, nightmarish
My body fills with fear
Relentless, suspenseful, frightening
Getting goosebumps at the thought
Desperate, frantic, insecure
Out of nowhere, I was caught

I was inspired to write this poem based on my love for horror stories and horror movies. I hope that you will see how it feels to experience a nighmare through imagery
