Crossroads

Today I stand between a rock and a hard place
Next to a diverging crossroad of decisions
Contemplating whether to please the coalition
Or to satisfy my affinity
To make a choice
Following the dark path that’s a stranger
Who flirts with regret for the oblivious
Or to make a moral decision;
Guiding me to life that’s a tranquil river
Drifting through me to replenish my soul
Though the resolution would send the melee
Down a spiralling crossroad of confusion;
Is it wrong?
