The Colors of Me
Blue like the sky on a summers day
Today I was blue because I smiled for no reason
Green like the monster’s eyes in your nightmares

Today I was green because I felt so distant and alone
Purple like the shock of a sour candy

Today I was purple because I’ve been waiting so long for this day to come
Orange like the question marks tumbling in your head
Today I was orange because I was stuck in between love and hate
Red like that blood rushing to your face

Today I was red because my anger hit its boiling point
Pink like that sugar high after an energy drink

Today I was pink because I felt like I could run for miles
Black like when you close your eyes in prayer

Today I was black because I wished so hard on that shooting star
White like a dove flying away, only a cloud of memory

Today I was white because the tears wouldn’t stop flowing
 Blue happy
    Green
  scared

  Purple
   excited

     Orange
     confused

   Red

 mad

 Pink

    Black

     hopeful

  White

     sad
