Heart of Golden Glass
Can you see her? Sitting at the windowseat, watching the clouds roll by and the sky cry. Can you see how she has her heart sewn upon her sleeve? Stiched in gold but fragile as glass? Can you see the gold swirls and the flecks in her eyes? Can you see the liquid gold falling from her eyes? Can you see the gold shine through her skin, flowing through her veins? People say that her caring factor is a good thing, but how can she believe that when it tears her down. She can feel the gold filling up her heart and spilling out to poison her soul.
