July 4th
Everyone gathered in the backyard,
As they ate food that was almost charred.
In their house, the flag will never fray,
The whole family came for Independence Day.
As the dark sky began to appear,
The younger kids held their ears in fear.
Beautiful fireworks inked the sky,
They will never forget that Fourth of July.
