Tick-Tock
I'm not one less different,
but I'm not like any other.
I know how things feel,
I know how things work.
But I just don't know time.
How it seemed to run so fast,
barely seeming to know,
that you've passed on by.
I grew old knowing no more facts
than knowing this clock,
tick-tocking my life away.
Each and everyday I'd
sit and think back.
If only I held you closer,
had my hands wipe your tears,
then you would've came back...
at least even before this clock
started running this fast.
