Less Than Golden
Every day is the same
Every step, every word
Is part of my struggle
To be loved; to be heard
Perhaps I overthink
Not everything is bad
I have tunnel vision, it seems
For the negative times I've had
Alas, still, my mind is broken
Remembering every time I've spoken
And later yet, filled with regret,
Feel something less than golden.
