Season of Apple Blossoms
You arrive in a blush silken robe
  strutting through the open fields
You have April in your eyes
but carry May in your heart
The fragrance of your apple blossoms
  kiss the weeping branches
and awaken the choir of feathered friends
  Your tender breeze waltzes
  with the flying kites
and dapples the sky with pale azure
  Barefoot tots run across
  your luscious grass looking for
a dandelion to make a wish on
Your degrees intensify with each day
  bringing out the young lovers
for a walk in the park
  Tossing back your golden curls
you set free swarms of butterflies
  from their flimsy cocoons
  You are simply everywhere
But your time here is short and
waiting at the end of the tulip beds
are the open hands of the handsome June
