Money, Where did you go?

We moved into our college dorm, unpacking our clothes, making our beds, placing and replacing.
“Move it to the left,” Megan said.
That’s perfect!
Looking in her dresser, she discovered her money sock vanished.
“How much money was in there?”
“$517.18.”
“I think it has a pair of feet and walked away.”
