I lost my inspiration
I lost my inspiration
When you left
You took that part of me with you
When you left many people with tears welling
And insecurities growing
You’re loved by many
You’re the brother I chose
Because you know me better than I know myself
And you have been there when others aren’t
I lost my inspiration
To pour out my heart
On ink-written paper
To recite it in front
Of people who could care-less
I lost my inspiration
To pick up my viola
And watch my hands
Synchronize with sound
I lost the part
Of my already scarred-heart
My confused mind
You’re my brother by choice
Don’t leave
Don’t leave me
The people who need you the most
I lost my inspiration
When you said goodbye
