I woke up that morning with your arms around me
God, I was so happy
But I guess you deceived me,
God, I felt so lonely
So this is me reaching,
And I don’t want to admit it but I’m weeping,
And I know how much you used to hate fiction,
So please, add this to your shelf,
I don’t know if I can get over you
This poem will never be edited because of you
And your love for nonfiction
